When it comes to shopping the sales, we're always looking for smart investments that we would want even if they weren't discounted. That way we know that they're truly worthwhile. This Black Friday, I'm looking to H&M's best-selling styles and classic basics to support my wardrobe. Thing the wide leg tailored trousers that are sure be worn on repeat, cosy knitwear that has a timeless appeal and a few more accessories like classic boots and sleek bags to bring my looks together.

Over the past few years, I've been really impressed with H&M. It started with an amazing blue knit jumper that I bought four years ago whilst biding time before meeting a friend for dinner. It soon became the piece I got the most compliments on, and as I love sharing a great high-street buy, I'm always left exclaiming, "It's H&M!" Since then, I've looked to the high-street brand for everything from a new puffer coat to surprisingly high-quality sportswear. The only issue is that it has so much stock that it can feel overwhelming. Thankfully, I've been working on my well-thought-out wish list for the past few weeks, and it's full of classic pieces no one could ever regret buying. It includes best-selling buys from over the past year (these are very clearly H&M's hero pieces and some are still in stock in the sale), as well as the brand's latest expensive-looking items.

SHOP MY H&M BLACK FRIDAY WISH LIST:
THE BEST JUMPERS:
This classic polo-neck jumper comes in nine colourways, but this chic grey and white striped style is one of my favourites.
Another classic knit that will serve your capsule wardrobe well. I'd wear this with a cream slip skirt and heels for an evening out, or wide-leg trousers and loafers to work.
V-neck jumpers have really seen a resurgence this winter, and I am here for it. This fine-knit grey number also comes in black, white and a lovely cornflower blue.
THE BEST CARDIGANS:
There is something so Parisian about this cardigan. Maybe it's the chic gold buttons, or perhaps the front pockets? Either way, I just know I'll reach for it time and time again.
I am truly in my cardigan era right now, and this relaxed-fit style is exactly what my collection is missing. During party season I love throwing a knit like this over sequins or satin slips to make my look feel a touch more casual.
A true layering staple that you can wear under blazers and cropped jackets, as well as over dresses and tees.
THE BEST TROUSERS:
I don't think these need any explanation... The perfect wide-leg trousers, with a comfy pull-on waistband and available in sizes XS to double XL.
This whole look gets a big yes from me. I love how these trousers look with the matching blazer, but you could also wear them with trainers and a cashmere knit.
I always recommend a pointed-toe shoe with a tapered trouser to help elongate the leg.
THE BEST TOPS:
Fans of the polo shirt trend, this one is for you. I'd pair this with a pencil skirt and knee-high boots for a chic way to take the trend on.
I have this denim shirt and honestly wear it about twice a week. Take your normal size as it's already perfectly relaxed and roomy.
I always think investing in true wardrobe staples like this polo-neck top is a smart choice during the sales.
THE BEST COATS:
I didn't think any of the premium collection would be in the Cyber Monday sale, but clearly I'm wrong. This stunning black coat is now under £100 and still available in the full size range.
Scarf coats have really taken over this winter, and they're not going anywhere for 2025. This jacket will work hard for you from now until spring.
If you thought this coat was designer, I wouldn't blame you, making it a fantastic investment piece this Cyber Monday.
THE BEST DRESSES:
I love the idea of wearing this with knee-highs and a maxi coat.
Just a beautiful colour. I love how it's been styled with boots above, but you could also add tights and loafers.
I normally stay clear of party pieces in the sale, but this lovely LBD is a really smart buy. You'll wear it for all occasions.
THE BEST ACCESSORIES:
These chic earrings are an easy way to instantly elevate any look.
You can never have too many belts! This premium style is made for 100% leather.
