This Easy (and Free) Styling Hack Already Has Kendall Jenner's Approval
In February, Bottega Veneta's new creative director Matthieu Blazy sent a look down the runway in Milan that was destined to go viral. Not loud or showy like most viral runway looks, the ensemble included a simple, butter-yellow slip dress with a navy blue sweater tied around the waist in the most simple and obvious yet alarmingly chic way. Immediately, we knew it would spark a trend. And now that Kendall Jenner's been seen sporting it, it's safe to say for sure that we were right.
Over the weekend, Jenner was spotted alongside her boyfriend Devin Booker at the US Open, where they watched the men's final. For the sporty occasion, Jenner, styled by Dani Michelle, became the first person to debut the buzzy runway look, adding a matching Ralph Lauren Polo cap and swapping out the model's ankle boots for The Row strappy sandals and the tote bag for Bottega Veneta's next It bag called the Sardine. She also added vintage Gucci sunglasses and oversize Bottega Veneta earrings.
Just as we expected, the look appeared just as chic on the streets as it did way back during Milan Fashion Week on the runway. Which is why we're now gearing up to copy it ourselves. Luckily, all you need to master it is a simple slip dress and a sweater, two things that 99% of you already own. While you're at it, add a baseball cap (I know you have one of those too). In the rare chance that you're not in possession of the two necessary components of Jenner's simple, chic outfit, shop plenty of options below.
On Kendall Jenner: Bottega Veneta dress, sweater, and earrings; Bottega Veneta Sardine Top Handle Bag (£2931); Polo Ralph Lauren Cotton Chino Ball Cap (£45); The Row shoes; Gucci sunglasses
