Katie Holmes Is Really Selling This Whole Non–Skinny Jeans Look to Me

If you're exhausted by the Millennial/Gen-Z debate over jeans, where to part your hair, and what lingo and emojis are considered cool, you're not alone in that. As a Millennial who just wants to part my hair to the side in peace, I get it, but something I am team Gen Z on is what denim trend reigns supreme in 2021. Katie Holmes and I seem to be on the same page. Loose, baggy jeans that puddle around the ankles are the style that Gen Z and now Katie Holmes gives the stamp of approval, and her 14-year-old daughter Suri (who falls into that generation) would surely approve.

Yesterday in New York, with her very baggy jeans, Katie Holmes wore a crewneck T-shirt and camel coat, along with her signature white sneakers. It's an easy look that would be chic with any denim style—skinnies included—but it looks all the fresher with the loose jeans, in my opinion.
