And Now, the Classic Luxury Buys Our Editors Are Standing By this Autumn
From standout linens to timeless handbags, 6 editors weight in on the most worthwhile luxury buys of autumn 2025.

It’s no secret that us Who What Wear editors love to find chic buys at a more affordable price point. Of course, there are some great value, classic pieces to be found on the great British high street that will last a long time in your collection. But sometimes, when curating your forever wardrobe, you’re looking to spend a bit more on quality, luxury items that then elevate the rest of your wardrobe effortlessly. And while we do love an expensive-looking bargain, as experts in the industry, we also know a thing or two about a smart designer fashion investment.
So, as we're well on our way into autumn, I thought I would ask my fellow editors: what’s on their luxury wish list right now, and their answers didn’t disappoint. We're talking beautiful suede leather bags, loafers and brilliant trench coats for the cooler season and of course plenty of knitwear. Pieces that they love now but will also stand by forever. One thing’s for sure, these women know how to elongate someone else’s wish list in a heartbeat—you've been warned.
Below you can see and shop their current luxury shopping picks. Not everything on our lists is wildly expensive—some are little luxuries— but rest assured when they do come with a higher price tag, it’s on there because we believe it’s worth every penny. There’s some all-time classics we’ve been lusting after for a long time, and some fresher new-in pieces that already seem just as timeless. Any one of these buys, though, feels rightly special and will add polish to your everyday wardrobes for many years to come. Keep scrolling for some luxurious shopping inspiration…

"I’ve always been on the fence about faux-fur jackets; love them on other people, feel like they can look a bit tacky on me. However, with its jaunty little collar, cute neck tie, patch pockets, swing silhouette and gorgeous chocolate brown hue, this By Malene Birger style has completely won me over. I saw it in person at the brand’s Paris Fashion Week autumn/winter 2025 preview in March and, honestly, I’ve been able to think about little else since."
"Manu Atelier’s Cambon belted tote was a huge hit last autumn and now the brand has just released an update on the cult style—a very chic, tote-sized shoulder bag. While there are suede finishes to choose from, I find myself drawn to the glossy black leather most. Sleek and practical, I'm positive I can make room for this amongst my current collection..."
"To say these Saint Laurent flats have a hold on me is an understatement, the iconic YSL emblem at their heart is seared in my mind. I recently saw someone wearing them with chunky grey socks, jeans and a suede jacket, and to say it’s one of the coolest outfits I’ve come across wouldn’t be an exaggeration."

"I have a pillbox hat itch that really needs to be scratched. Niche, I know, but since coming back from CPHFW—where all the chicest insiders were going into full 'lady like' mode with two-piece suits, pearls and sling-backs, I spotted a few of these '50s style hats, and I think they're going to be a big hit with the fashion set in the coming months."
"If money were no object, I would wear 80% Miu Miu. It's cliché to say, but its playful schoolgirl-meets-librairian-meets-track-star aesthetic just really speaks to me. It's the balance of cool and sartorial I think that has the fashion folk foaming at the mouth season upon season. I could have selected anything—the bags, the ballet flats (or actually the loafers and kitten heels!)—but the piece I really want in my wardrobe is a Miu Miu skirt. Mini, midi—I don't mind, we're in a skirt era (sorry, dresses), and I know I'll wear it on repeat. If you too want one, good luck! They seem to sell out quicker than you can say "Miuccia Prada."
"Another niche trend coming your way: Toggle fastenings. Hear me out: Not on duffle coats but refined wool or boucle jackets, or even in leather like this Rohe number. I can't stop thinking about it. Because like most of us, I have many leather jackets... but one with chic toggle fastenings? No, that's not in my collection... yet."

"When the cooler weather arrives I always need a bit of extra room in my bags for added essentials like an umbrella and extra knit just in case. Enter Bottega's sleek yet spacious Andiamo Bucket that has a luxurious appeal, refined craftspersonship and practical size."
"Now that my strappy sandals have been set aside, my sights are set on this pair of elegant mules to fill the gap. Already I'm picturing these bringing an elegant finishing touch to polished tailored looks, floaty floral dresses and easy jeans and T-shirt combos. The burgundy shade fits perfectly with my tonal autumn palette too."

"I’ve been looking to invest in a pair of brown loafers for some time now and year after year, the Miu Miu Laced Fumé continues to pique my interest. With a blend of retro charm and understated luxury, their two-toned nuanced finish, raised stitched edge and subtle gold branding makes them the chicest loafers I’ve come across. Having seen them on some of my favourite fashion people, styled with everything from jeans to capri trousers, I haven’t been able to think about anything else since."
"Had you told me last year that I'd be infatuated with everything green suede twelve months later, I would have looked at you in disbelief. But alas, here we are. Its earthy hue adds a luxe dimension to any look. When paired with Marni’s loose silhouette, it feels effortlessly elevated and undeniably cool."
"A little-known fact: all of my everyday rings are from Tiffany. After reaching a recent career milestone (cough cough, my not-so-new job), I’ve been on the lookout for the next addition to my collection. When I spotted the Tiffany T Wide Diamond Ring in white gold, it felt like a no-brainer. A high-quality piece that will last a lifetime, its simplistic yet thoughtful design caught my eye immediately. The circular diamond, finished with the iconic double T, gives it an elevated, cool feel which aligns perfectly with my vibe."

"I've been anti-trainers for a while now, but after returning from a few mini city breaks, I realised the lack of functional flats in my wardrobe will cause me major orthopaedic grief come cooler months. Naturally, this suede and leather DVN will fill that gap nicely."
"I have the eye of a magpie at the best of times, but the combination of the ivory feathers, chintzy gold silk and dark pink embellishment is just really calling to me. The fact that there are so many elements in this skirt also speaks to this vein of lazy luxury I'm embracing in autumn. Who needs to style a look when this piece is so head turning without any extra flourish?"
"I've been obsessed with navy blue suede ever since I saw Yu Mei's—a beloved New Zealand-based accessories brand—Bobby Bag. So, when Manu Atelier issued their iconic Le Cambon in this sumptuous hue, I knew it had to be mine. Teaming expertly with every wash of denim and offsetting traditional wintery neutrals by adding an element of contrast, this is a designer piece I'll be wearing for seasons to come."

"As a girl who would wear trainers on my wedding day if I could, I'm on a constant hunt for trainers that look elevated and that I can get away with wearing to more formal events. Et voila, Acne Studio's take on the sneakerina, which strikes the perfect balance between casual and refined."
