I Have a Large Friend Group, and We're All Into These Finds From Amazon and H&M
One of the best parts about working in fashion is seeing how many different ways a particular piece of clothing can be worn. Sure, it's easy enough to incorporate elevated basics like jeans, t-shirts, and blazers into both the most minimalist and maximalist wardrobes. But, you know you've found something special when it's nearly universally appealing without being, well, an essential.
Of course, as with any new garment, you'll want to consider the cost-per-wear before splurging on a piece that may only be suitable for a season or two. This is why it's always a treat when something affordable from H&M or Amazon catches our attention.
With that in mind, I asked a bunch of my friends with distinctly different personal styles (think: nothing but neutrals to tons of neon, or gender-neutral to super femme), to pick out a few pieces they would be interested in adding to their winter wardrobes this year. Ranging from holiday party pieces to leisurely lounge sets, embellished outerwear, and cozy cardigans, there truly is something for everyone on this list of fabulous finds.
Keep scrolling to shop my friend group's affordable finds from Amazon and H&M, and see how these pieces fit into your closet this season.

We're all in agreement that outerwear can make or break a winter outfit. This oversized blazerworks both indoors and outdoors.
If, like me, your go-to is a white button-down, then this is a nice twist on the classic staple.
Balletcore vibes have never looked cozier. This sweater has matching leggings, too.
You'll be surprised by how often you reach for this simple half-zip sweatshirt.
We love a skirt that can be easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
Just a bit of old-school bling that can be worn all night without breaking a sweat.

I've converted almost everyone to wearing bodysuits this year. No more tucking-in turtlenecks!
Quilted jackets are eyecatching, appealing to everyone from your craftiest cousin to your preppiest pal.
More than a few friends swear by this figure-hugging style from pricier brands, so at just $30, it's worth trying.
This sleeveless turtleneck dress is simple but super chic and comes in several colors.
Can't get enough of cable knit? This set will keep you cozy 'til spring.
This long cardigan passes the touch test—once you feel it, you'll want to get one of your own.
