As much as I love receiving a handpicked, beautifully wrapped birthday present, I'm not going to lie, when it comes to gifts I have definitely come to appreciate a boring but brilliant gift card. Sure, it may seem less personal, but isn't it fun when you get to shop for a little something special of your own choosing? So when I received a $150 Amazon gift card on my birthday this year, I actually got rather giddy.
Of course, there are tons of practical items I can buy from Amazon (the list always seems to be endless), but this time, I decided to treat myself to some stylish fashion basics. I took this as an opportunity to snag a few pieces that have been on my summer wish list—fisherman sandals, tennis whites, and a strapless top to name a few. Strapless tops have been everywhere this summer, and since I don't actually own any (aside from one I bought about a decade ago!), I decided to see what Amazon had to offer. And they have a lot as it happens! While there are plenty of straightforward tube tops, I opted for this soft, lightweight knit top with a cool knotted front detail, as it has great reviews and feels fashion-forward and elevated. Not bad for $20! I've been pairing the cute top with high-waisted relaxed trousers and jeans this summer for a minimalist-chic look.

And the fact that I'm actually about to start tennis classes was a huge impetus to finally plug the trigger on buying a cute tennis skirt. The one I found below is great quality and sits on the waist perfectly. I'll be wearing this on and off the courts all summer.
