Color Report: The 5 Shades Everyone Will Be Wearing This Winter
Like many, fall fashion is something we get the most excited about. But since we are optimistic here (or at least try to be), we're still holding out hope for our devotion to fashion to continue on into the winter months. It can be difficult to navigate the freezing temperatures and the sun setting earlier than we'd prefer, but we're still focusing on the positives. That includes thicker knits, statement outerwear, and a whole lot of other trends that will keep you cozier than a cup of hot chocolate. We've already given you the rundown on the main pieces you'll be seeing this season, but we also did a little digging to find the colors popping up on social media and within the market. While many fall hues trickle on into winter, there are a few new shades that have popped up just in time for the holidays and the New Year.
Some days may be dreary, but you can supplement the lack of sunlight with some of the colors ahead. Since we've included saturated shades like cobalt and fuchsia, we don't think that will be a hard task. Keep scrolling for our seasonal color report and find where you can shop each right away.
We hate to play favorites, but there's a reason cobalt blue is at the top of this list. It pairs perfectly with other bright shades and plays well with all our favorite neutrals.
The phrase "brown is the new black" has never made more sense. Don't worry—we don't think it's possible for the fashion world to fully let go of black, but brown is a pretty good replacement if you're looking to branch out. (And don't believe what anyone else says—they do go together.)
Valentino and "Barbiecore" brought a wave of fuchsia into the style scene, and it seems the momentum has yet to slow down.
Remember when wearing silver was only saved for holiday parties or going out? Those days are no more. No matter the occasion, a pair of shiny pants or metallic heels will add a worthy statement to your look.
When you'd rather have a muted hue than the Barbie-loved color, opt for baby pink. Pastels have continued on from the springtime, and we're very happy about it.
