While many trends come into our lives and leave just as quickly, there are some that know how to survive. Rather than dying out, they take on a totally new form. Such is the case with the bomber jacket, which has been the most popular outerwear of choice among fashion girls for much of the past year. The latest iteration to gain popularity is the varsity jacket, a slightly sportier take on the look that we love so much.
One of the first big style stars we spotted wearing the trend was Emma Roberts, who stepped out this week for a coffee run in a super-chic green satin version from Coach. However, we realized the jacket looked really familiar. She wore the very same one out on the red carpet for a Television Critics Association event! While she made the piece work for a more formal setting with a leather mini and heels, this time, she dressed it down with relaxed cropped jeans, a black T-shirt, and some trusty Converse All Stars. We can't believe how versatile this trend has become, and it makes us eager to see even more of it.
