I Was a VIP Nordstrom Stylist—These Are the Only Fall Trends That Matter

Sandy Koszarek is always on top of the latest trends. This probably doesn't come as much of a surprise with her career as a stylist (she worked in the VIP styling department at Nordstrom for years) and a content creator with Stylish Sandy. Given that fall is one of her favorite seasons for fashion, Koszarek is particularly excited about all of the fresh fall items and trends.
While it was honestly challenging for her to narrow down her favorites, she actually created a list of seven fall 2023 trends that she thinks matter most. Why? Because they're highly versatile and easy to wear with items that are probably already in your wardrobe.
Keep scrolling to check out Koszarek's edit of the most noteworthy items for fall 2023.
Vests
"The vest trend for the fall season has definitely caught my eye. I'm a fan of wearing it alone or layering it over a T-shirt, which pairs perfectly with trousers or jean skirts." — Koszarek
Red
"I'm excited about adding bold red items to my fall wardrobe. Red is easily one of my favorite colors; it has energy and instantly makes an outfit exciting. Whether wearing a head-to-toe red look or incorporating red trousers, a stylish blazer, or accessories, including a touch of red will add eye-catching interest to any fall wardrobe." — Koszarek
Lady Jackets
"A fall trend I'm excited about is the lady jacket. It's a classic piece with so much versatility. I love wearing it as a standalone top, layering it over a tank, or pairing it as a stylish coat with jeans, trousers, or a dress, making it a must-have item in my fall wardrobe." — Koszarek
Wide-Leg Trousers
"I'm looking forward to wearing trousers this fall. They're a staple in my wardrobe and look amazing with blazers, button-down shirts, or a lady jacket. Plus, you can wear many shoe options, from flats and loafers to sneakers and heels." — Koszarek
Striped Button-Down Shirts
"The button-down shirt is one fall trend and a wardrobe staple I can't get enough of. It's a classic piece that effortlessly adds a chic factor to any look, no matter how you style it. Plus, as we transition into fall, it doubles as the perfect layering piece." — Koszarek
Tailored Blazers
"This fall, I'm embracing the tailored-blazer look. They are chic and easy to style with turtlenecks, jeans, or denim skirts. It's an item I know I'll wear often." — Koszarek
Relaxed Denim
"Jeans are a staple in my closet, which includes a mix of reliable go-to favorites. I also like to try new styles, so I'm embracing the wide-leg-jeans trend for fall. They're versatile and easy to style with a button-down shirt, a blazer, a lady jacket, and boots. It's a chic silhouette that's perfect for fall." — Koszarek
