6 Key Items I'm Buying From Nordstrom to Build Out My Fall Wardrobe

With the official start of fall just three weeks away, I'm already looking to add some fresh pieces to build out my new-season wardrobe. Since I've been living in lightweight linen, tank tops, and sandals for the last two months, I'm excited to get some cozy layers and fresh new trends into the mix. To keep things easy, I skedaddled on over to trusty retailer Nordstrom to do a quick shop for pieces that will kickstart my fall wardrobe.
From fall staples such as crewneck sweaters to fresh new trends such as leopard print and olive-green hues, these pieces below will keep my new-season wardrobe looking fresh and current.
Hourglass Blazers
Sophisticated sculpted blazers with a nipped-in waist will add an elegant and feminine touch to your fall wardrobe. An hourglass silhouette looks unequivocally chic and is an investment piece that feels fresh for the upcoming season.
Pointed-Toe Pumps
For fall 2024, it's all about sleek pointed-toe pumps and court shoes—a style that was seen all over the runways. Whether they’re poking out of a pair of jeans, or paired with ankle socks, pointed-toe shoes (no matter if they're flat or heeled) feel like the most-wearable style at the moment.
Leopard Print
Leopard print has already been gaining momentum this summer, but expect to see the statement trend dominate come fall. Whether you add a touch of the bold print via some shoes, a bag, a statement slip dress, or a coat, adding a touch of leopard print to your outfit will have you looking altogether on-trend this season.
Olive Green
The dominating shades of green immediately caught my attention on the F/W 24 runways—particularly, rich, earthy olive and khaki green hues layered in various fabrics from head-to-toe. It will make any outfit look luxe this fall.
Elegant Satin
From draped dresses to matching sets and elegant blouses, expect to see satin dominate on the fashion set this fall. Opt for elegant shades such as deep red, neutral ivory, and black to instantly make your ensemble look expensive.
Sumptuous Sweaters
Sweater weather is almost here, and we're leaning into sumptuous and sleek silhouettes, whether it's a relaxed crew-neck or a draped scarf sweater. The pieces below will have you looking chic and cozy.
