The heatwave is on its way, so naturally, there's nothing else we Brits are talking about right now (as I write this, they are discussing it at great length on the radio). This can only mean one thing in the wardrobe department: It's time to dig out our trusty throw-on dresses. I don't know about you, but when the mercury rises, all I want to wear is something that is loose, light and long. I can't deal with fitted waistbands or clingy silhouettes. Well, luckily, H&M has dropped a dress that delivers on all these fronts.
I have found that it's the simpler dress silhouettes that have stuck around in my wardrobe over the years, so when I spotted the easy, flowy fit and subtle ruffled neckline of H&M's Flounce-Detail Dress, I knew it was a keeper. Not only that, but the style also comes in seven shades, including statement-making lime green, classic white, delicate powder blue and sunshine yellow.
I can imagine it looking just as chic with Velcro sandals and sunnies in a city park as it would over a bikini on the beach or even dressed up with strappy heels and oversized earrings.
