I Finally Tested the Viral Skims Tanks, and I Have Thoughts
One of them would make you think I got an augmentation.
Ever since Skims launched, it feels like everything the brand does ends up on my For You page. The past few months, the algorithm has been quietly (and sometimes not-so-quietly) convincing me that the Skims tank top is the holy grail of basics and I should give it a try. After owning Skims bodysuits, undergarments, and even pajamas, I realized I haven’t had the chance yet to try its tank tops out for size. If I’m being honest, the price point is a bit intimidating. When Hanes sells such a good tank top for $5, I find myself shying away from the higher-price-point options, but the time has come—I’m trying them all.
I mean, it’s about time. I needed to see what all the hype was about. After finally locking myself in a fitting room with every style that the Nordstrom lingerie section had to offer, I have some thoughts—mainly that I understand why everyone keeps comparing the built-in-bra style to a push-up bra disguised as loungewear.
