These 30 Items Are Already Defining Fall 2024—Take Note

In the fashion world, it doesn't matter if it's 90ºF out. When the fall collections began trickling into stores, everything automatically transitioned from summer mode to autumn like a timed switch went off. Because of this, we could already infer which items would go on to dominate the season weeks out from its actual start date.
To do so, I start out by examining everything the celeb set's already worn from the fall collections—fall 2024 in this case—to see what their top-tier stylists took note of at the shows back in February. From the runways, we're already seeing boho take off as well as suede, chocolate brown, and leopard print. Next, I take to TikTok and Instagram to find out what's reaching viral status on a broad scale, from trendy and affordable steals to the designer items people are actually buying. Lastly, I hit up my co-workers and fellow fashion editors aka the holy grail of market knowledge. Nobody knows what's buzzing better than they do.
After hours of scrolling, inquiring, and, yes, shopping, I came up with a list of the 30 items that are destined to reach ubiquity this fall. Scroll down to find out which ones made the cut.
We tried out this Heaven Mayhem watch when it first came out and were impressed, to say the least. It's already sold out at multiple retailers, so clearly, we weren't the only ones.
My co-worker Anna got this Almina Concept cardigan sweater last fall right before it sold out for the entire year. It's finally back, and I'm predicting another major season of success. The fit is impeccable and very expensive looking—like $2980 expensive.
Almond-toe pumps and flats have officially taken over, and this Marc Fisher pair allows you to get in on the trend without having to spend The Row or Loro Piana prices on the anti-trend style. Plus, it comes in the biggest color trend from the fall/winter 2024 runways.
Laura Harrier can't stop wearing this semi-sheer one-shoulder top from her collaboration with Reformation. Really, she can't stop wearing all of the pieces from the collection, which our editors tested out via livestream earlier this summer.
I can't escape this leopard-print version of every celeb's favorite slouchy Saint Laurent bag. Zoë Kravitz and Hailey Bieber both wore it, and so did F1 paddock regular Alexandra Saint Mleux at the Italian Grand Prix.
Thanks to celebrities like Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sienna Miller, Sydney Sweeney, and more, chiffon boho dresses like this option from H&M and designer picks from Chloé are absolutely going off. Everyone and their mother wants one, and fortunately, there are plenty of options to go around.
I first spotted the black version of this technical pullover in an Instagram Reel posted by content creator @shayinjune, who called it out as an affordable alternative for The Row. It's lightweight, versatile, and cool, especially when paired with barrel-leg trousers or baggy jeans.
Everyone from Jennifer Lawrence to London fashion people are ditching their tight, structured bottoms for silky alternatives that double as luxury pajama pants.
Someone suggested this top to me, and I fell in love with it immediately just seeing it online. It arrived earlier this week and was even better in person. The high neckline gives Khaite vibes, while the super-sculpted rib-knit fabric makes it incredibly flattering and expensive looking.
Darker denim washes will take precedence this season over lighter, vintage-inspired alternatives given how much more elegant and elevated they appear naturally. I love designer jeans, but when I can get a great-fitting and luxe-looking pair from Levi's for under $100, there's really no reason to say no.
These ballet flats have been huge for a couple of seasons now, and with the new addition of a brown suede pair, I'm expecting their supremacy to continue throughout fall and into winter. One of the WWW editors already snagged this exact style, and we've all quickly been influenced.
This coat caused a huge stir when it debuted on the runway last February at the Michael Kors Collection show on none other than '90s supermodel Amber Valletta. It was one of the biggest examples of the swan trend, and now that it's for sale, it'll no doubt be spotted on countless chic ladies (who lunch perhaps) in NYC and beyond.
I was never a Bermuda-shorts person, but lately, longer and more oversize pairs like these from Zara have been tempting me away from my favorite hot pants. Daisy Edgar-Jones wore a long pair on her Twisters press tour, which is probably why I'm so smitten with the style all of a sudden.
