Whether you pair your brown knit with jeans or a leather skirt, there's no denying that a chocolate sweater can look incredibly elegant. Scroll on to see the brown-jumper outfits I've noticed It girls wearing in the place of black knits right now.

When it comes to wardrobe staples, it doesn't get much more classic than a great jumper. Whilst black is a classic choice, a quick scroll through my IG feed proves that brown knitwear is dominating instead right now. Although chocolate brown emerged as a trend a few years back, it's very clearly sticking around. Yes, you'd be hard-pressed to find a fashion lover who doesn't have at least one brown knit on rotation right now, and for good reason—the simplicity of a brown jumper can create a world of outfit possibilities.
There are so many stylish ways to wear brown this winter, and you can combine brown knitwear with pretty much anything, including bottoms like slip skirts, jeans and trousers, and shoes such as boots, kitten heels and trainers. But the versatility of a brown jumper doesn't make it boring. Whether you go for something in cashmere, a chunky cable knit or a classic wool blend, the variety of options available feels endless, and there are so many ways to style them.
I've been keeping a keen eye out for how our favourite fashion influencers are wearing brown jumpers this autumn and winter, and I'm delighted at the inspiration. Keep scrolling for the top nine brown-jumper outfits I'll be trying, and the pieces I'll be shopping to re-create them.
Brown Jumper Outfits to Copy This Season:
1. Turtleneck Jumper + Brown Blazer + Black Trousers
Style Notes: I love how Liv has made neutral brown tones the talking point of this look. By pairing a chocolate-brown turtleneck with a brown relaxed blazer, it's easy to achieve that luxe minimalist feel.

Mango has so many great wide-leg trouser options, which are essential for this season.
2. Brown Jacket + Jumper + Trousers
Style Notes: Cream and black aren't the only neutrals cut out for a monochrome outfit. Combining several brown tones is one of the best cold-weather looks in my opinion. It's earthy but chic, and I love Ingrid's choice to mix several shades which all complement one another nicely. Opt for different textures, such as a leather, knit or cotton to create dimension and depth.

3. Cropped Knit + White Trousers
Style Notes: Lizzy's outfit is great for those warmer autumn days, and a perfect example of how to take your white jeans and trousers into winter. With this outfit, you can play with different proportions and choose from a range of different trousers and skirts. A cut like this looks great with high-waisted trousers, a midi skirt or styled over a slip dress.

4. Chocolate-Brown Sweater + Warm-Toned Trousers
Style Notes: The contrast of the warm-toned trousers with the richness of the chocolate sweater is an instant winner in my eyes. Pair with chic pointed-toe flats and an oversized bag to complete the look.

5. Chunky Cable Knit + Balloon Trousers
Style Notes: Is there anything more cosy than a chunky cable knit? I love how Nnenna has styled this with exaggerated balloon-hem trousers and a statement necklace—living proof that brown jumpers don't just belong in a minimalist's wardrobe.

6. Leather Skirt + Brown Jumper + Strappy Heels
Style Notes: There's something pared-back about a black leather skirt that goes perfectly with a simple brown sweater. Sylvie has elevated the look by adding chunky gold earrings and strappy sandals.

7. Slouchy Jeans + Brown Jumper + Khaki Blazer
Style Notes: I love everything about this look. From the subtle herringbone of the blazer to the pop of blue from the jeans, to, of course, the chocolate-brown jumper underneath, everything about it just works.

8. Brown Jumper + Black Jeans + Black Ankle Boots
Style Notes: I consider this outfit from Marilyn one of my autumn uniforms. Brown and black are one of my favourite pairings, and I think a brown jumper tucked into black denim is an undeniable classic. Kitten heel ankle boots pull it all together and give it a sophisticated edge. When winter rolls around, just add a long wool coat.

9. Long Brown Jumper + Brown Trousers + Kitten Heels
Style Notes: Valeria's look is a cool take on a brown jumper outfit. The shades match perfectly, and the longer fit of the knit and the voluminous trousers make it feel like a co-ord. Add a pair of white kitten heels or shoes in another colour to peek out from underneath.
