If, like me, you love wearing jeans but feel like you really should try to mix things up sometimes, you've come to the right place. Denim will always be my first love when it comes to leg coverings, but I've been particularly intrigued by the pant and trouser trends that have been populating my Instagram feed as of late.
With September on the horizon, I'm inspired to give a boost to my fall wardrobe, especially after the very little fall shopping I did last year. My calendar is going to be a bit more robust this fall, and I want to be ready for whatever comes up. These six pant trends seem ready and willing to help me achieve that, and the fashion people wearing them are really selling this jeans-obsessed editor, much to my surprise.

1. High-Rise Khaki Trousers
Trousers that resemble '80s and '90s suiting are even cooler than they were the first time around. Pair them with a matching blazer and a bra top, a vest, or an oversize button-down.

2. Faux-Leather Trousers
This one isn't new, but it's new and improved. Faux leather keeps getting better and better, and it's significantly less expensive than the real thing. It may not be for the faint of heart, but this season, I'm seeing lots of faux-leather trousers in saturated shades.

3. Two-Tone Pants
Fashion people love the two-tone trend, especially when it comes to pants lately. While some styles are technically made of denim, I wouldn't lump them into the same category as jeans.

4. Utility Pants
Utility pants are a great alternative to jeans when you want to be comfortable but want something a little more polished than sweats. I love them in shades of green, which are surprisingly versatile.

5. Low-Rise, Loose Trousers
We've covered this trend a lot already here at Who What Wear, but I'm just here to say that it's officially gone mainstream, like it or not. I love when the trend is paired with equally low-key shoes, such as sneakers.

6. Flared Knit Pants
This one started during lockdown last year and has stood the test of time. Flared knit pants (ribbed ones, in particular) are a bit nicer than sweatpants but are just as comfortable. Stock up.
