I Love '90s Minimalism—30 Under-$100 Picks I'm Adding to My Cart Now
For all intents and purposes, I get paid to write, but I also get paid to shop. I spend hours (and hours and hours) scrolling and saving and hearting my favorite fashion finds across a wide variety of budgets. *And yet* my most satisfying days occur when I uncover chic finds for under $100. Since I've declared '90s minimalism as my foolproof aesthetic but, alas, can't afford to drape myself head to toe in The Row, budget-friendly items with a similar vibe are my current target.
Good news for me: There's a lot out there! My most recent search led me to a cotton-shorts-and-T-shirt set from Zara that might as well be straight out of a '90s Benetton ad, a white sheath dress Gwyneth Paltrow could have for sure worn back in the day, and black-and-white contrasting thong sandals that look way more expensive than their price tag. With its recent '90s heritage collection, Mango has been especially on point, as has J.Crew since it began leaning into reproducing items like its classic sweaters and swimsuits some years ago.
Keep scrolling for all of my favorite '90s-inspired dresses, pants, shoes, and more!
