Fall is my favorite season for fashion. It probably has something to do with my love for back-to-school shopping as a child and that idea of starting fresh for a new season. On that note, I usually start researching fall outfit ideas and trends in August so that I'm ready when that first cooler day comes. Today, I thought I'd specifically focus on the basics I'm interested in adding to my rotation this fall.
Given that basics are the backbone of my wardrobe, I pay a lot of attention to this category. Bomber jackets resurged again in a noteworthy way for spring, and I can't wait to jump on the trend for fall with an oversize silhouette.
2. Dark-Wash, Wide-Leg Denim
My jeans have been getting looser and looser over the last few seasons, and this fall, I'm going to embrace styles in darker washes to bring polish to my looks.
3. Camel/Tan Cardigan
Fall means cardigan weather, and I always love a knit in a camel hue. That ideal style just feels so elegant.
4. Denim Jacket
I have a staple denim jacket, but I want to add a fresh one to my rotation to wear with additional denim picks or cool leather pieces.
5. Oversize Knit
As I mentioned above, I prefer a lot of my pieces to have a more relaxed silhouette these days, so I can't wait to live in an oversize knit come fall.
