As the younger, cooler sister to J.Crew, Madewell's slew of trendier classics are usually calling my name year-round as a Gen Z editor. But let's be honest. The retailer especially shines come fall.
After taking a sneak peek at Madewell's fall 2023 collection earlier this summer, I've been anxiously counting down the days until it arrives on the website and I have to (figuratively) fight to get the pieces I want, knowing that they'll surely sell out after TikTok gets ahold of them.
While the majority of the collection's color palette serves as the perfect backdrop for apple picking or cider-donut hunting filled with muted reds, mochas, greens, and oranges, autumnal silhouettes like cardigans, leather jackets, and straight-leg jeans are where Madewell really finds its stride. The minute I stepped into the office and showed the Who What Wear editors the pictures I took from the fall sneak peek, we all collectively decided that Madewell has never looked better than this.
