Sorry to the Basics in My Closet—These J.Crew and Nordstrom Finds Could End You
Do you ever start shopping and realize that you don't want just one or two items but suddenly crave an entire wardrobe overhaul? Same. On a recent perusing of the new-arrivals sections on J.Crew's and Nordstrom's sites, I came across so many strong pieces that I started envisioning a whole new wardrobe with these chic updates. More than anything, it was the wardrobe basics that really caught my eye and made me consider replacing the very versions in my own closet to start off 2024 on a strong note.
These aren't just your plain T-shirts or basic leggings. No, the new closet updates I'm about to showcase here each have something special about them that sets them apart from the basics you could find anywhere else. Think trendy relaxed jeans, '90s-style LBDs, and even elevated-looking sneakers that are taking over my heart (and cart). Yep, I'm crushing big time on these simple but impactful finds, and I think you will, too. Scroll down to shop them all.
I desperately need a pair of everyday black pumps, and I know I'd reach for these constantly.
I can't get over how chic this silhouette is.
Gray is set to replace black as the It neutral in 2024, and I'm starting with these classic trousers.
Boxy blazers, you're getting the boot. Hello to beautiful sculpted styles.
Oversize earrings may be trending right now, but I'm craving the simplicity of thin hoops again.
Westerncore is happening, and this is exactly how I plan on taking part.
I'm slowly but surely switching over all my jewelry staples to silver this year.
If you're ahead of the curve, you're already shopping brown corduroys.
Can you tell that Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy is on my mood board?
Straight jeans are quite literally the backbone of my wardrobe.
Comfy, minimalist, and a little sexy—everything I want in a black top.
