A Chanel Lipstick, a TikTok-Viral Body Mist, and More: 8 Just-Dropped Ulta Gems I'm Salivating Over
This is what's new and now.

I'll be the first to admit that I own a considerable number of beauty products. It comes with the beauty-editor title and territory. Honestly, though, I think I'd hoard beauty products even if I didn't work in the industry. I genuinely love the sensorial experience of trying something new—the packaging, the texture, the scent, etc.
That's why I'm always checking in on my favorite beauty retailers, like Ulta, to stay up to date on the latest and greatest. (I have FOMO at the thought of a trendy new item selling out before I can get my hands on it.) When I checked in this week, I was delighted to see a stellar selection of brand-new skincare, makeup, and fragrance items, and I ended up adding eight of them to my cart, including a Chanel lipstick and a TikTok-viral body mist. Since I don't gatekeep, I'm sharing them with you. Ahead, see all eight just-dropped gems at Ulta.
Chanel says this lipstick "dresses" the lips in color. I think that's a lovely way to describe a lipstick, especially when it comes from such an iconic fashion house. Consider the fact that it has a long-wearing formula and a modern matte finish, and I'm sold. Right now, there are 24 stunning shades to choose from. I like this rosy-terracotta shade, called Affranchie, but I can't choose just one, so I'm planning on buying multiple.
I can't emphasize how much I'm drawn to the finish of this lipstick. It's different from other dull, flat-looking matte lipsticks on the market. It's soft, velvety, and subtly luminous (not shiny), which gives it the most elevated and sophisticated vibe. New fall lipstick, unlocked.
Sol de Janeiro's Hair & Body Mists are all TikTok-viral, but lately, this new one has been taking center stage on the app. The tropical gourmand scent has mouthwatering notes of coconut cream, warm vanilla, tropical orchid, creamy sandalwood, and toasted praline. In true Sol de Janeiro fashion, it's bright, sun-kissed, and suitable for an endless summer. It's also limited-edition, so if you want in on it, act fast.
I'm obsessed with Sacheu's Peel-Off Lip Liner Stay-N (so is Billie Eilish and Sofia Richie-Grainge, BTW). It lasts for hours even on my thin, dry lips. When I saw the brand release an equally long-lasting liquid eye shadow, I wanted in. Right now, there are six shades available at Ulta. I like this shimmery champagne one, called Candy Dipp’d. Regardless of which shade you choose, expect long-lasting, crease-proof color with zero fallout.
Exosomes are the buzziest (and most high-tech) skincare ingredient, RN. They're essentially cellular vesicles that transport important cell signals throughout the body. When used in skincare products, they pack an anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, and wound-healing punch. (Check out these epic before-and-after pictures from when I used one of my favorite exosome serums for the first time.)
Exosome-spiked serums can be expensive. Lucky for us, The Inkey List recently released this $22 glow-boosting serum. Aside from dialing up skin brightness, it improves firmness, boosts collagen production, and reduces lines and wrinkles. It's basically glass skin in a bottle, and I can't wait to try it.
I love eye patches, but only if they work, and these ones are basically begging to be added to my collection. They're infused with a potent combo of collagen, amino acids, peptides, seaweed, niacinamide, caffeine, and hyaluronic acid. Together, these active ingredients tighten, firm, and lift the eye area (no filler needed).
There's one thing to note. These aren't regular eye patches that you wear for 15 to 20 minutes. They're a lot like popular Korean hydrogel masks in that you wear them for one to two hours or overnight, until the patches turn clear, indicating that the collagen infusion is complete. I can't wait to try them and see if they give me supermodel eyes overnight.
Sometimes I want velvety matte lips. Other times, I want shiny, juicy-looking ones. Per the latter, I added Clarins' new Lip Perfector Sheer Gloss to my cart. Part gloss, part balm, and part plumper, this do-it-all formula creates the prettiest shiny, smooth, plump effect with just a touch of sophisticated shimmer.
Milky toners are all the rage right now, thanks in no small part to Hailey Bieber and her Rhode Glazing Milk ($20). That said, they've been around a long time, especially in K-Beauty. I can't wait to try this one. The lightweight, creamy formula hydrates, smooths, and gently exfoliates the skin for a moon-like glow. The secret is in the ingredient list. It includes niacinamide, ceramides, and snow mushroom (which holds 1000 times its weight in water with particles smaller than hyaluronic acid for better penetration). It's the perfect summer-to-fall transitional product for calm, smooth, and moisturized skin.
Last but certainly not least, I can't wait to try Beekman 1802's Magnesium Milk Barrier Reset Jelly Mist. I recently wrote about the benefits of magnesium in skincare products (spoiler alert: it's anti-inflammatory and can strengthen the natural moisture barrier). Ever since, I've been trying to add more magnesium-spiked products into my routine.
This mist soothes the skin and reduces the appearance of redness in 30 minutes (goodbye, rosacea!). It's all thanks to a magnesium complex that targets the skin's stress response, as well as goat milk and heartleaf. The latter is another skin-soothing superstar that's popular in Korean skincare.
