Chances are your closet will contain more than 10 pieces, but not all pieces in a closet can be classified as all-stars. There's bound to be a lot of filler, made up of random pieces that you may not wear quite as often as the all-star pieces and therefore may not be quite as important.
All-star fashion items are the opposite of random filler pieces. They're not necessarily basics, but they have the potential to be worn as often as basics, and they make the rest of your wardrobe look better. When I think about the most important pieces that make for a great closet, there are just 10 that make the final cut, in my opinion.
