5'1'' Zoë Kravitz Wears This Classic '90s Shoe Style With Everything

When Zoë Kravitz leaves the house, our fashion radars go wild. Whether strolling through New York, attending a red-carpet event or mingling with fashion’s greatest, the actress always looks enviably cool, naturally put-together and effortlessly stylish. At a petite 5’1”, Kravitz has never let her height stop her from experimenting with fashion.
Having mastered the art of layering oversized pieces, as well as styling skin-skimming dresses, she's our go-to for unbothered, cool-girl style inspiration. With equally stylish parents, Kravitz's wardrobe is brimming with cult fashion buys (we’ve long admired her zip-up boots from The Row), but her most called-upon shoe style is one that completely transcends fashion trends: the classic black court shoe.
Her occasion-wear shoe of choice, Kravitz most recently styled a pair whilst in New Jersey for Margaret Qualley's wedding over the weekend. Kravitz wore her kitten-heel black court shoes with a full-length T-shirt dress, a burgundy shoulder bag and black sunglasses.
For red-carpet events, Kravitz's style formula often comprises a jet-black dress, minimal accessories and black court shoes. She keeps her makeup on the lighter side, but often experiments with different hairstyles, allowing the minimalism of her outfit (and her undeniably divine face) to do all the talking.
At the re-opening of Tiffany & Co.'s New York flagship store in April this year, Kravitz once again turned to her black court shoes to style this subtly bejewelled look. Wearing the black courts with a shorter hemline, Kravitz demonstrated the versatility of this classic style. Whilst a knee-high pencil skirt and black pumps could quickly slip into the "dated" category, she brought her look up to date by styling her blouse partially un-buttoned and letting her chain-mail bra peak through.
Easily styled with tights, Kravitz favours these pumps in all seasons. Going into autumn, we'll take our styling cues from her by pairing sleek coats with these equally refined shoes.
Whether you're in need of a pair of does-it-all heels or you've simply caught the court-shoe bug, do it like Kravitz and shop our pick of the best court shoes below.
