When it comes to boots, Whistles has long been one of our favourites on the high-street as they manage to tick trend boxes, at the same time as creating elevated, timeless boots that will go the distance. Back in September we wrote a piece about how strong Whistles' boot section is this autumn—and there is one pair in particular that have been yoyo-ing in and out of stock ever since. The Amber boots are a city spin on a classic hiking boot—they have the chunky sole and typically outdoors-y eyelets for the laces, but are in a soft black leather and have chic stitching around the toe.
They sold out almost instantly and quickly became a regular feature on my Instagram feed, with fashion editors and influencers wearing them at weekends with coats and jeans, and even to work with printed midi dresses. I have worn mine every single day since I got them—and have been surprised by how smart they can look when paired with dressy dresses.
