Chic, Elevated, and Under $200—6 Wearable Trends You'll Want to Try This Fall

For the past few weeks, I've been scrutinizing the fall runways (because March was a long time ago) and immersing myself in all the new styles, trends, and It items that are about to be everywhere once the leaves turn brown. While I love a trendy buy as much as the next person, I'm focused on the wearable styles that I can easily integrate into my wardrobe and will last me well beyond the current season.
For fall/winter 2025, we're seeing an emphasis on elegant basics as well as fresh silhouettes and wearable color trends that are easy to style within your daily ensembles. Keep scrolling as I share six wearable trends that will have you looking of-the-moment this season. They're easy to wear and, best of all, won't cost you a fortune. In fact, all my picks are under $200.
Funnel-Neck Jackets
Funnel-neck jackets, especially those that are on the sportier side, are set to be fall's number one jacket trend. The fashion-forward silhouette was all over the F/W 25 runways, and the fashion set have been quick to take on the chic trend. Style with a contrasting pretty skirt for a chic fall look.
Shop:
Dark-Wash Denim
Versatile and chic, dark-wash indigo denim is having a major moment this fall. Whether you opt for a pair of wide-leg jeans, a denim barn jacket, or an inky midi dress, thanks to its deeper indigo tone, dark-wash denim can be just as appropriate for the workplace as it can for a night out—giving off a pulled together and polished look.
Shop:
Lace-Trimmed Everything
Whether it's shorts, skirts, pants, dresses, or tops, if it features lace on its trim, you're going to look 100% on-trend for fall. The key is in the layering as the temps start to drop. Try styling a lace-trimmed dress over your jeans and under a cozy oversize sweater. So chic.
Shop:
Flat Slipper Mules
In fall, we inherently want to lean into all things comfy, so there's no surprise, then, that slipper-inspired flat mules and shoes are trending for fall. If you don't want to splurge on The Row's Hugo suede mules, then there are plenty of more affordable styles to slip your feet into this fall.
Shop:
Polo Tops
Preppy polo shirts are getting a lot of love from the It-girl crowd. Whether you go for a striped polo, a short-sleeve silhouette, or plain knit, it's an easy and wearable option to style with jeans and skirts this season.
Shop:
Dark Chocolate Brown
Yes, dark-brown hues have been around for a while now, but it's impossible not to highlight their overwhelming presence on the fall 2025 runways. Whether you go for a head-to-toe tonal look or add a touch of the rich-looking hue to an outfit, there's no doubt the versatile color will make your outfit look chic, expensive, and on-trend.
Shop:
Plaid
Plaid is getting the fashion-girl treatment for fall 2025. Brands like The Row, Bottega Veneta, and Calvin Klein are breathing new life into the fall print this season. Tie a plaid shirt around your waist or go for a statement coat or pants—either way, we're getting excited to wear the print in fresh ways this fall.
