Victoria Beckham is often teased for her stern pout in photographs—it's a running joke that we never see the fashion designer smiling. In 2012 she explained her moody expression to U.S. Glamour saying, "I think I only stopped smiling when I got into fashion. Fashion stole my smile! I've created this person. And I'm not saying that's not me, but I wouldn't say that's the whole me … It's an armour that goes up." VB has now turned this explanation into a slogan T-shirt, releasing two tees that say "Fashion stole my smile" across the front in block capitals. This is now, understandably, our new favourite mantra.
The cotton tees, which are available in white and black, are from her Victoria by Victoria Beckham collection, and they are available for £95 exclusively on her website and at her Dover Street store. Victoria has already been spotted (non-smiling) in hers, pairing it with a pair of black extra-long wide-leg trousers to the airport.
So far, 2017 has undoubtedly been the year of the designer logo T-shirt, as everyone from Gucci to Chanel to Dior has created these tees, but Victoria Beckham's have now gone straight to the top of our must-have list.
