It’s all about sportswear with Versace’s spring collection: expertly tailored jersey structured by harness belts, nylon drawstring pulls, bonded waterproofs, and below-the knee dresses liberated by sultry slits, slashes, pleats, and flashes of flesh, followed by dominant prints. Prints contrasted with checkerboards featuring Versace lettering, and another depicting “the swirl of baroque powerful waves on a powerful ocean” embodied the sporty-chic vibe over the latest couture assortment. To match the attitude of the collection, Versace incorporated platform strappy sandals and a leather Stardvst bag inspired by a guitar strap.

“Sportswear is the future of fashion; to make it unique and luxurious is the challenge I took this season. This is a collection that is all about a woman's freedom: freedom of movement, freedom of activity, freedom to fight for their ideas, freedom to be whomever you want to be,” says Donatella Versace. The female-empowerment mood paraded down the runway and radiated the strength inside every kind of woman with a powerful impression.
