We called many of the key trends for spring/summer 2019 back in September, but over the past 39 days, certain items have emerged that we didn't see coming. In our trend report, we called out cycling shorts, sage green and tonal outfits as headlining looks. One month into the New Year, these key trends are already being joined by some unlikely micro-trends.
Butter yellow is quickly becoming the new beige and flooding our Instagram feeds (we're specifically talking about a pair of mules from Gucci). As for accessories, pearl jewellery and headbands are hitting the high street in a big way, and promise to be talking points on the street style circuit this fashion month. Pale Yellow
If you've read our spring/summer 2019 trend report, you'll know that sage green and beige are the key colours for this year. However, buttery yellow is also slowly taking over our Instagram feeds and new-in sections. These Gucci slides are destined to be a cult item this fashion month.
Pearl Jewellery
Pearl jewellery has been slowly making a comeback thanks to cult brands like Alighieri, Timeless Pearly and Anni Lu; however, in 2019, this has well and truly hit the high street. The likes of ASOS, Topshop and H&M are getting well behind this trend.

Headbands
Headbands were certain to be a key buy in 2019 when Prada put them in its spring collection, but in the past 39 days, I've seen headbands at every fashion event I've been to.

Vest Tops
It might be absolutely freezing, but that hasn't stopped influencers from starting a new T-shirt trend. Instead of boxy tees, this year we keep spotting vest tops with thick straps instead of tiny spaghetti camis.
