I bought my first pair of trainers this year for the first time in about five years, and I'm more excited about wearing them than I thought I'd be. Guess which style? Of course I opted for a pair of Adidas and when they arrived, I had a mild panic. How do you style trainers in 2024? Still, seeing as trousers are probably the most amenable item in terms of matching up with footwear, you would have thought the shoe options would be more varied. But no, it seems everyone is wearing their trousers exclusively with trainers at the moment. Keen to get this combo right and coordinate it with pieces I already own, I began saving my favourite trainer-and-trouser outfits as I found them.
