I don't know about you, but I've been itching for summer to show up already. As soon as Memorial Day hits, a beach hang, a park picnic, and an Aperol spritz or two can't come soon enough. My summertime uniform? Denim shorts, of course. In the past, I tended to keep things simple when it comes to how I style my shorts, usually opting for a tucked-in T-shirt and leather sandals, but this year, I'm inspired by how good some of the top trends of the season look with jean shorts.
If you haven't heard, long denim shorts are a favorite for summer 2024. In fact, pretty much every fashion person I follow has been spotted in the trend. Incredibly versatile mid-thigh and knee-length variations look great whether they're dressed up or down, which is probably why some of summer's best trends have been paired with them. That's not to say that traditional cutoffs are a thing of the past. They're a classic, after all, and thrive when styled with other classic pieces.
