Models.com's annual list of the world's top models is typically a need-to-know roundup, determined by some of the industry's top experts. But this year, the site did things differently. They asked readers to submit their favourites in categories like Model of the Year, Breakout Star, and more. The results: very interesting.
The "industry" vote for the year's top model goes to Edie Campbell, who, though perhaps not a household name, is a major force appearing on runways from Chanel to Valentino. The reader's choice, not surprisingly, went to Cara Delevingne, who also took home the honours for Social Media Star, tapped by both readers and industry insiders. And somewhat surprisingly, there's no mention of rising It-girl Gigi Hadid anywhere on the list.
