The Top Summer Denim Trends in NYC, Paris, London, and Milan
Just because the late July temperatures seem to keep climbing at a steady pace definitely doesn't mean that we're letting the dust settle on our denim collections. Denim trends, as I'm sure you're well aware from reading Who What Wear, always get us extra excited, and that definitely isn't an exception in the summer.
I know for me that this French girl–adored style is serving as major inspiration for my own denim collection these days. Blame it on the adventurous spirit of my Sagittarius sun sign (we have a major case of wanderlust at all times), but I'm constantly looking at what stylish women in other countries are wearing (and shopping for) right now. To make sure you're on top of the latest denim trends, too, I've scoured Instagram to find the top summer denim trends in NYC, Paris, London, and Milan. As fashion capitals, these are always the first cities I turn to. Ahead get inspired by these global trends and shop the styles for yourself.
NYC
This summer, there's an unlikely denim trend emerging that NYC girls were quick to get on board with: Bermuda shorts. City girls all have one thing in mind in the sweltering summer months: staying as cool as possible. So it's no surprise why these looser-fitting cutoffs are a big hit.

PARIS
Not to be cliché or anything, but of course, Parisians tend to favor the one denim trend that seems tailor-made for romantic tops, woven totes, and espadrille sandals. We're talking about white jeans—specifically wide-leg pairs. We're inspired by how Claire Mosteghanemi styles her jeans in a chic all-white ensemble.

LONDON
This summer, our fashion counterparts from across the pond are taking their denim inspiration from the '90s. High-waisted light wash jeans with a straight-leg often referred to as "mom" jeans are a big hit with the London crowd. True to form, they're giving their retro jeans that polished London feel by wearing them with low block heels and kitten heels.

MILAN
Last but not least is this Italian fashion capital. Though Italians aren't necessarily known for procuring the latest denim trends, they always manage to put their own spin on denim. Italian It girls like Gilda Ambrosio and Chiara Capitani are wearing their cutoff miniskirts just like it's 2002, and of course, they're making the denim trend look wildly chic.
