The youngsters on TikTok like to coin phrases to describe fashion trends, so I'd like to throw my hat in the ring for this one. I'm calling my favorite summer-to-fall transitional outfit combo Miss Honey–core, named after the beloved teacher from the 1996 movie Matilda. It comprises just two pieces: a cardigan and a printed midi dress. How easy is that?
With a hint of cottagecore and a dash of coastal grandma—and very much in line with J.Crew's revival—Miss Honey–core is my absolute favorite way to style my summery dresses once fall weather starts to creep in.
