Which is why, when a certain chic-looking face mask started cropping up all over my Instagram feed a few years back I was convinced that I'd love it before I'd even applied it to my face. Even today I'm hard-pressed to scroll through Instagram without spotting a tube of this on a fashion girl's bathroom shelf or peeking out of a makeup artist's backstage kit.
