Just as well, because as trends come and go, we will inevitably find ourselves amid a season favoring subdued colors and low-key looks. We chatted with three of the chicest women in the blogosphere about standout style, and when they all said the same thing, it was time to start paying attention.

Michelle Madsen of TAKE AIM
Take Aim blogger Michelle Madsen acknowledges that it can be tempting to play it safe with your wardrobe, especially when it comes to running errands and working out. Her antidote to this style slump? Choosing pieces that put a chic twist on the basics. "I'm currently obsessed with designer logos," she tells us. "I'm seeing and wearing a lot of really cute tees with the designer name across the front or back. This Tommy jacket really highlights that trend with the logo down the left sleeve and initials peeking through on the back of the jacket."
Standout style should express who you are and make you feel confident.
We like to think that confidence is found in the place where style and practicality meet, and Madsen couldn't agree more. "I love that I can tie the Tommy jacket around my waist; it's something I make sure I can do with any jacket I'm planning to wear around the city. Sometimes I do that just to style my outfit, but it's also really nice to know I won't have to stuff my jacket in a huge bag if I take it off—especially since I love mini bags," she notes.
Jenny Cipoletti of MARGO & ME
For Margo & Me's Jenny Cipoletti, getting dressed every morning is an opportunity to express her authentic self: "It's about being honest and uninhibited in the pursuit of what inspires you." At the moment, that means embracing the new season by taking cues from spring's landscapes and either complimenting prints with classic nudes or mixing patterns for a bolder look.
Standout style is all about having the confidence to wear what moves you.
Cipoletti tells us the key to her confidence is feeling polished and elevated, yet accessible. "Tuck in the blouse, and pair it with a well-fitting belt to tie the look together," she tells us. "Accessories are key, so pair your outfit with a great structured bag." Her on-trend pick? A basket bag is perfect for spring and introduces her classic look to fashion's current moment.
Sara Azani of STYLE MBA
Sara Azani is all about elevating a great piece by making it your own. "Add character and whimsy to a look, something that expresses your individual style," she advises. The key is to do something a little unexpected by way of unique jewelry or color-blocking.
Confidence is what makes you shine and stand out in a crowd.
Azani tells us she'll be wearing printed dresses all summer long. As for what else she's excited to wear as weather warms up? "Bucket bags are on my fashion radar," she says. "And florals and blushes are big this season. They add a fresh and feminine flare to your look."
