Net-a-Porter told me that it has sold nearly 30% of the pieces it has and has increased the stock by 300% more than other Simone Rocha bags; clearly it’s a popular choice. When I asked the retailer why this bag was such a hit, it revealed some interesting information. Over the past six months, the luxury retailer has seen an increase for customers looking for bags that feel like art. Adding to that, the bag is clearly a showstopper aesthetically speaking, and while it’s not inexpensive, it’s still more affordable than similar bags in the market.
As for the Who What Wear team, we were divided on whether or not we’d invest. While all admitted it was a beautiful piece, half of us weren’t convinced of its practicality.
