Is it just me, or does it feel like there are new makeup brands cropping up left, right and centre? As a beauty editor, sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the amount of options on the market and always end up going back to the brands that I know and love. That being said, every now and again a brand gets so much hype that I have to give it a go. One of those brands is Sculpted By Aimee.
Founded by makeup artist Aimee Connolly in late 2016, Sculpted by Aimee was initially only available in Ireland before landing in the UK. Now, the brand is available at some of the biggest beauty retailers and even has a standalone store on Carnaby Street where you can try the products out for yourself.
I'm going to be honest, when I first saw the bright pink packaging and fun product names I wasn't sure if it would be the brand for me. I like natural, minimal makeup looks and tend to shy away from anything too bold. However, the fact that it was founded by a makeup artist intrigued me, and after seeing everyone on TikTok rave about the products, I knew I had to give it a go. I started off with a foundation and it was pretty much love at first sight. So, I decided to try a whole range of products from the brand to see if I could create a full face of makeup that fit my more pared-back aesthetic. Read my honest review below...
The Best Sculpted By Aimee Makeup Products
1. Sculpted By Aimee Second Skin Dewy Finish Foundation
First up is the foundation that made me fall head over heels for the brand. This is, hands down, one of the best foundations I have tried for that "lit-from-within" look. The liquid formula offers medium coverage, but thanks to the lightweight feel, you can definitely build this up if you want. It glides onto the skin and blends like a dream, leaving you with a naturally dewy, luminous finish.
2. Sculpted By Aimee Brighten Up Concealer
Because I loved the foundation, I had high hopes for the concealer, and I wasn't wrong. Again, this creamy, lightweight formula glides onto the skin and blends in seconds. I used it under my eyes to help brighten my dark circles and it didn't cling to the skin or settle in the creases like other under-eye concealers have done. One thing I will say is that it doesn't offer heaps of coverage, but it's perfect for those of you who like a more natural makeup look like me.
3. Sculpted By Aimee Cream Luxe Bronze
I feel like a bit of a broken record at this point, but this bronzer is so easy to use thanks to the creamy, blendable formula. I don't know what is in these Sculpted By Aimee products, but they are so lightweight and velvety that you can barely feel any of the makeup on your skin. It's worth noting that this definitely isn't the right bronzer for those of you who like a sharp, contoured finish, but if you want to bring some natural warmth to your skin, then I recommend adding this to your basket straight away. I used a stippling brush and applied this to the hollows of my cheeks for soft definition.
4. Sculpted By Aimee Cream Luxe Blush
Cream blushers are my go-to in the spring and summer months, and this has quickly become my new favourite. I opted for the "peachy pink" shade which added a beautiful flush to the cheeks. The best bit is that you can also use this on your lips.
5. Sculpted By Aimee Shape & Set Brow Duo
As you can probably tell, I love a multi-use makeup product, which is why this eyebrow duo immediately stood out to me. It contains a pencil on one side and a clear brow gel on the other making it so easy for on the go. I personally only use brow gel, but the colour pay off from the pencil is seriously impressive.
6. Sculpted By Aimee Brighten & Define Eyeliner Duo
I don't like wearing mascara every day, but sometimes my eyes need a little bit of something to brighten them up and make them pop. Enter, the Sculpted By Aimee Brighten & Define Eyeliner Duo. I applied the darker colour to my lashline and the lighter colour to my waterline and I could see such a noticeable difference. In fact, this is actually one of my most complimented products from the brand.
7. Sculpted By Aimee Hydralip
I'm fussy when it comes to lip products so I didn't have high hopes for this lipstick, but as with the rest of the makeup line, I was immediately impressed. Creamy formula? Check. Colour pay off? Check. Hydrating? Check. Long lasting? Check. Since trying, I haven't left the house without it.
