Suits at the Grammy Awards 2018

The Grammy Awards are currently underway, and while we love all the beautiful dresses we’ve seen on the red carpet, one surprising style is really standing out.

Amidst all the extravagant gowns, a number of stylish stars have opted instead for suiting. From Kesha’s western-style outfit, to Anna Kendrick’s businessy look, the suits we’ve seen look so cool and fresh in contrast with the elegant dresses we typically associate with the awards show. With all the discussion lately surrounding women's’ rights and the Time's Up campaign, it is hard not to see a larger message in the menswear-inspired outfits these stars have opted for.

Almost as if reclaiming their place alongside all the men in suits, theses androgynous styles are really working to highlight gender equality, whether intentionally or not. Regardless of the decision-making process behind these outfits, there is no question that suits were among some of the best red carpet looks this year.
