I Tried the Lash Serum Sydney Sweeney Swears Made Her Eyelashes Grow Like Crazy
So that's her secret…

Lash serums can definitely be tricky. Believe me, I spent a lot of my time and energy trying different ones until I found a few that really work. Although it took me a while, I now have a solid handful of serums that really help out my normally short, sparse lashes. One of them also just happens to be a favorite of Sydney Sweeney's. She revealed once in an interview that after using RapidLash's Eyelash Enhancing Serum ($50), her eyelashes "started growing like crazy." Even she isn't immune to TikTok—she started using it after discovering a review of the serum there and hasn't stopped using it since.
Naturally, I knew I had to try this one out for myself to see if it's worthy of adding to my rotation. If you're curious about my thoughts on this one, keep scrolling. I'm sharing all the details below.
About the Formula
What I really love about this formula is that it contains amino acids, biotin, and peptides, which help strengthen and promote healthy growth. It does contain a synthetic prostaglandin analogue, which have been shown to stimulate hair-follicle activity. (You can find them in a host of effective eyelash serums, including the prescription Latisse.) Some people avoid lash serums with prostaglandin due to potential side effects like irritation and periorbital fat loss (aka fat loss around the eyes), but rest assured, I didn't experience any of those reactions. In fact, I love how RapidLash doesn't irritate my eye area, which can be really sensitive.
The price tag is a bit high at $35, but it's actually still cheaper than a lot of other formulas on the market, and you can get it without a prescription (unlike Latisse).
Pros: Ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested, fragrance-free, strengthens current lashes while simulating new growth
Cons: Contains a prostaglandin analogue, which some people prefer to avoid
Size: 0.1 ounces
Key ingredients: Polypeptides, biotin, panthenol, amino acids, soybean oil
Customer review: "I've always had short, thin, weak, straight lashes. I decided to give Rapidlash a chance, and IT ACTUALLY WORKED. I couldn't believe it. I noticed a difference after about a month of use, and then continued growth/length for the next several months. We're talking long, shiny, healthy, barely-falling-out lashes."
My Experience and Results
Before trying this lash serum, I was using GrandeLash's Lash Enhancing Serum ($68). It definitely worked well for me, but I felt like my results started to plateau after four or so months. After swapping my go-to for RapidLash, I finally started seeing a difference once again. In fact, I actually noticed that my lashes were already a bit longer after one week of using this. I'd say that's pretty impressive!
It's always a bit hard to tell if a lash serum is working those first few weeks because your natural lashes don't look dramatically longer yet, but you can more easily see some length has been added when you put on mascara. That was certainly the case for me, and those effects only grew stronger with time. So here's my official verdict: If your lashes could use a bit of extra help, I say give this one a go. I don't think you'll regret it.
More Lash Serums I Swear By
GrandeLash has gained a cult following over the years (especially among WWW staffers) because it really works. As I mentioned above, I did notice that my results started to plateau after a certain amount of time, though, so maybe it's good to switch up your formula once in a while.
Latisse is *the* OG lash serum. It's one of the most effective because it contains a prostaglandin called bimatoprost, which extends the growth phase of the hair follicle. I have several friends who use it and completely swear by it (they have the best lashes of anyone I know), but it's only available via prescription, which can be a bit of a pain.
Vegamour's Gro haircare collection is legit, so it's no wonder its lash serum is so well-rated. The hero ingredients are red clover, mung bean, and amino acid peptides. The ingredients help prevent hair loss and big strong cells around the hair follicle.
