When it comes to personal style, I tend to err toward more minimalist and classic pieces. Plaid has been seeping onto the runways since last fall where we saw elegant takes on the countryside-chic print from designers such as Chloé and Schiaparelli.
In the spring 2025 collections, we saw a resurgence of checks, plaid, and gingham, albeit with a slightly softer look to them that were styled in fresh and interesting ways. At Tod’s, checks were playfully worn inside out as a full ensemble, ACNE Studios played with clashing check prints, and The Row showed us a minimalist-approved take on mixing prints.
