Celebrity Stylists Think These 3 Outfits Photograph Especially Well

It's safe to say that celebrity stylists know a thing or two about what photographs well. Their clients attend the most glamorous and heavily photographed events in the world, and it's their sole to job is to ensure their clients look good. So if there's anyone to trust with photogenic outfit ideas, it's celebrity stylists. I noticed there are three outfit formulas stylists across the board seem to agree on, seeing as how they each dress their clients in them repeatedly. Each outfit combination looks great in photos, is easy to re-create, and happens to be right on trend for 2020. From Hailey Bieber to Ciara, below I've highlighted the three photogenic outfits celebrity stylists swear by.
Oversize Blazer + Textured Pants
On Hailey Bieber: Nina Ricci blazer; Are You Am I corset; Maison Margiela pants; Jennifer Fisher earrings; BY FAR bag; Tabitha Simmons heels
Both Hailey Bieber's stylist Maeve Reilly and Bella Hadid's stylist Mimi Cuttrell agree that the combination of an oversize blazer and textured pants makes for a great photo. The shine from the textured pants (whether they're leather, vinyl, or coated) catches the light beautifully, and the oversize proportions on top emit an effortless vibe. The best part of this look is that it's beyond easy to replicate.
On Bella Hadid: Tommy Hilfiger blazer and pants
On Hailey Bieber: Jil Sander blazer ($2642); Common Leisure pants; Yeezy boots
An oversize blazer in this color will be one of your most-worn items.
Monochrome
On Ciara: Max Mara Belted Camel Hair Coat ($3590); Max Mara Camel Hair Pants ($965)
Ciara's stylist Maeve Reilly, Selena Gomez's stylist Kate Young, and Ashley Graham's stylist Jordan Foster are united on the monochrome look. Dressing in pieces of all the same color family creates a rich, elegant look perfect for stepping in front of the camera.
On Selena Gomez: Versace look; Jennifer Meyer Hoop earrings ($2500)
On Ashley Graham: Fleur du Mal trench coat; Vex Latex bodysuit; Jennifer Meyer jewelry; Schutz heels
Long-Sleeve Dress + Knee-High Boots
On Selena Gomez: Ganni dress; Celine bag
Selena Gomez and Margot Robbie's stylist Kate Young and Gigi Hadid's stylist Mimi Cuttrell both endorse the effortlessly chic combination of a long-sleeve dress with knee-high boots. The slinky silhouette of a long-sleeve dress creates movement in front of the cameras, while the knee-high boots add polish to the outfit.
On Gigi Hadid: Dion Lee dress
On Margot Robbie: Mille Jasmine Dress ($236); Loeffler Randall Gia Boots ($695)
Who knew we needed a green midi dress? Thanks, Gigi Hadid.
A pair of knee-high black boots is one of the safest fashion investments you could make.
