It's Official: Pharrell Is the Next Louis Vuitton Men's Designer

In a headline-making move, Louis Vuitton has appointed Pharrell Williams as its new men's creative director. The high-profile position was undoubtedly hotly contested, as the late, great Virgil Abloh left exceptionally large shoes to fill. Abloh died in November 2021 at the age of 41.
After a morning of speculative reports, Louis Vuitton confirmed the stirring news in a press release. "I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new Men's Creative Director," Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton's chairman and CEO, said in a press release. "His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter."
Mark your calendars: Pharrell's debut collection will be shown in June during Paris men's fashion week. It's safe to say that will be a hot-ticket event. I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeve for the iconic house.
