It's the season for setting sail on cruises, with December being one of the most popular times of the year to hop on a ship and sail away. The two most visited cruise destinations? Either a warm-weather locale, such as the Bahamas (a popular choice in the wintertime), or an Alaskan cruise. Though it's technically off-season for the latter (Alaskan cruises usually run from May to September), it's never too soon to book your ticket for next year and start thinking about what to pack.
Each month brings with it a different set of clothing requirements. When the Alaskan cruise season kicks off in May, the temps typically range in the lower to upper 50's, with June, July, and August only being slightly warmer. September is the coldest and wettest of the months, so it's important to be well-prepared to ensure you can fully enjoy all the amazing outdoor activities. Now, because it's easier to pack for the warmer months, we decided to create a packing list for an Alaskan cruise that sets sail in late fall. Clothing
You don't need much, but there are a few versatile fashion staples you should definitely bring with you—pieces you can wear to a fancy dinner but also on an outdoor adventure. Also, make sure to pack layering essentials, too!
