The Unexpected Way Olivia Palermo Styles This Classic Fall Trend

The best part about entering a new season, when it comes to clothing, is pulling out pieces that have been hidden in storage or the furthest corners of your closet only to find they’re still amazing, still on trend, and still going to become an integral part of your wardrobe. That’s the idea that came to mind when we saw this outfit from Olivia Palermo.

Dressed in head-to-toe olive, it was Palermo’s army jacket that caught our eye first. Hey, we have one of those!, we thought, albeit perhaps not quite as embellished. But in a totally fresh take on the forever-cool topper, Palmero’s styled the piece as a suit with coordinating green trousers and a burnt orange suede button-down beneath. While these colors could be considered fall clichés, when paired together in slight different intensities and a variety of textures, it’s anything but.
