On the one hand, sales are the perfect opportunity to stock up on basics, a category that Nordstrom truly excels in. On the other, discounts and deals also make it possible to finally buy those trend-forward or investment pieces that you've had your eye on forever but could never quite pull the trigger on.
Personally, I prefer to spend sale season at Nordstrom doing a little bit of both.
