This season, I've been on the hunt for new ways to freshen up my wardrobe. I'm not interested in a complete overhaul though, or starting from scratch—I'm instead aiming to revitalise my current rotation with the help of some clever styling tricks. Taking my resolution to the office, I sought expertise from the Who What Wear UK team, who, armed with years of experience in the fashion industry, guided me towards what they've just called the "mirroring method".

WHAT IS THE "MIRRORING METHOD"?
Low effort yet high impact, this styling trick relies on a few tonal accessories that you put together to create a coherent pop of colour throughout your outfit—a connect-the-dots type of scenario if you will. You begin with a neutral base and layer on matching accessories and add-ons (such as a jumper knotted around the shoulders) in one corresponding colour for an easy outfit that will feel put-together and right on trend.
WHO STARTED THE MIRRORING METHOD?
We don't mean to brag, but the mirroring method was actually coined by your faithful Who What Wear editors after we spotted a few of our favourite influencers styling their outfits in this way. Whilst many have experimented with flashes of red and burgundy, the mirroring method looks chic no matter which colours you choose. HOW TO DO THE MIRRORING METHOD
1. BURGUNDY ACCENTS
Style Notes: The deep, wintery shade looks chic layered over black, brown or khaki green. Shop a shiny leather accessory in the hue and style with a matching scarf or socks, if they're on show.

Style Notes: Soft and gentle sage has to be one of my favourite colours for this brighter months. This easy-to-wear shade works effortlessly with warm browns and beige tones and is so simple to slot into a capsule wardrobe.

4. RED ACCENTS
Style Notes: It's all about red this season. Style with trending peach shades or wear with camel brown light browns and creams.
