Fashion illustrator and fashion director for The Sartorialist, Jenny Walton has provided a recent refresh to my Pinterest style boards with a street style look to challenge my train of thought. And would you believe it–she's wearing denim shorts.
Through winter I've been missing my denim cut-offs and have been opting for soft cotton leggings instead. But is it just me or has this been the warmest winter we've had in a while? With the ever-present sunshine and temperatures reaching up into the 20s on the weekend, my layers have been significantly reduced and there's so many more reasons to leave the house.
So in true Australian style, this weekend, I'm saying goodbye to black and hello to a fresh colourful outfit. Walton wears her denim shorts with a printed long sleeve top, clashing prints with a scarf and drawstring bag. It's an outfit that's got me excited for spring and summer.
