We have a love-hate relationship with H&M on team WWW UK. We obviously love when we come across an affordable winning buy that looks like it could be designer sitting in the new-in section—and nowhere else on the high street does this so reliably. But we hate—okay, maybe hate is too strong a word, it's more frustration—when other people manage to bag those buys before us, leaving us to find them all sold out. It's a regular occurrence because, as we know, when H&M does something great, it's really great, and the word spreads fast. And while we are, of course, advocates for responsible, thought-out purchases, when you see something you love on H&M's site, it's a well-known fact that you need to add it to basket pretty quickly to make it yours.

H&M has given us a reason to look forward to spring during this rather long January with a fresh drop of the capsule wardrobe staple this week—some of which have already flown out of stock (shock). The double-breasted trench coat is basically the perfect throw-on, everyday style, and we've searched long and hard over the years, so you can trust us on that.
