It's seemingly almost every day that Gen Z uncovers another '90s fashion hallmark to revive. Wherever you look, the '90s influence is clear, and for those who grew up in the era, it's an incredibly nostalgic moment. The latest throwback trend to receive the Gen Z stamp of approval? Halter tops. Truly, it's my favourite one yet.
As a minimalist, finding points of difference in multiple neutral outfits can be difficult. That's why I have such a thing about necklines. What makes one plain black top different to another is all in the composition, and a halterneck is a great way to add intrigue to a look whilst not wavering from your aesthetic.
Especially come summertime, when many are looking to show more skin and shed any unnecessary fabric, a halterneck tends to accompany an open back, making it not only incredibly chic, but very much a clever choice on the warmest days.
