Did Gigi Hadid Just Bring Back the Mullet Skirt?

Hedi Slimane’s last collection for Saint Laurent (A/W 16-17), redefined ’80s glamour—sharp shoulders, exaggerated volume, and most surprisingly—mullet hems. We weren’t too sure if fashion girls were ready for this trend to return, but now that Gigi Hadid has stepped out in one of the pieces from the collection, we have our bets on yes. Spotted on Rodeo Drive in L.A. yesterday, Gigi paired her ruffled skirt with a simple white singlet and oversized earrings. Granted, she was mid-photoshoot, but judging by past looks she’s been snapped in while working, Gigi fans will want to re-create any look she wears.
Keep scrolling to take in the look on Gigi, and on the runway, and shop a mullet hem if you’re feeling inspired!
