Gigi Hadid Proves That the Skinny Jean Isn't Going Anywhere

Throughout 2016 we have been told that the skinny jean is "over," but we're not quite ready to retire the silhouette altogether. And so we were rather pleased to see Gigi Hadid sticking firmly to her skinny habit this weekend.

On a coffee run in New York, Gigi paired her cosy striped hoodie with ankle-grazing leather skinny trousers. Her look proves that subtle tweaks to the skinny silhouette can make this look current and ready for 2017. So when looking for a new pair of skinnies for the New Year, opt for a leather finish and a cropped hem.

Gigi also shows that the Gucci backless loafer trend is still going nowhere, as she wore a pair of the Italian fashion house's black leather backless loafers with floral embroidery and a comfy shearling-lining. *Adds to fantasy Christmas list.*
